Images and Video in Posts
Images and video make up much of what is posted on melek.salon. Pictures are stored on MELEK's image host and shown in the post through Markdown; video is hosted on Bifrost and linked. Part of Posting on MELEK.
Uploading a picture
Drag a picture into the editor, paste it from the clipboard, or choose selecting them under the editor to pick a file. It uploads to MELEK's image host, and the editor inserts its Markdown, , where the cursor was. You can move that line anywhere in the post. The first picture in a post becomes its thumbnail in feeds.
Photos (Pinboard)
The Photos (Pinboard) tool in the editor's Creation tools panel opens the MELEK Pinboard. Post a photo or an album there, or save one you found, then copy its Markdown into your post. See MELEK Pinboard. Photo posts go in the Photos category. See Post Categories on MELEK.
Making a picture
The Image Generation tool opens Hathor Studio, where you can make pictures for a post from a description. See Making an Image for Your Post.
Video
The Video (Bifrost) tool opens Bifrost, MELEK's video platform. Upload the video there, then link it in your post. See Bifrost Video. A YouTube address pasted on its own line also shows as a player.
Pictures you did not make
Say where a picture came from, and link the source. Posting other people's work as your own is plagiarism, and readers can report it.
