Post Categories on MELEK

Post categories on melek.salon sort every post into one of fifteen sections. Choosing one is required: the editor will not publish a post without it. The chosen category is written as the post's first tag. Part of Posting on MELEK.

The categories

Each entry shows the menu name, the tag it writes, and what it is for.

MELEK & Witnesses (tag melek): The chain, its witnesses, tokens and updates.
Photos (tag photography): Photo posts and albums.
Nature & Plants (tag nature): Plants, gardens, wildlife, the outdoors.
Art & Design (tag art): Drawing, painting, design, generated art.
Crypto & Web3 (tag crypto): Other chains, tokens, DeFi, Web3.
AI & Tech (tag ai): Artificial intelligence, software, hardware.
History & Mysticism (tag history): History, religion, ancient mysteries.
Life & Blogs (tag life): Personal posts and daily life.
Music & Video (tag music): Songs, beats, film and video.
Games (tag games): Games, arcades, play.
Food & Cooking (tag food): Recipes and food.
Travel & Places (tag travel): Places and trips.
Writing (tag writing): Fiction, poetry, essays, the November novel challenge.
Introductions (tag introduceyourself): Your first post: who you are.
NSFW (adults only) (tag nsfw): Adult content

NSFW posts

Posts in the NSFW category show behind a warning that readers click to reveal, and anyone can hide them entirely in Settings.

Changing a category

Picking a different category in the menu replaces the first tag and keeps the others. On a published post, the category is fixed by the chain; edits can change the other tags.
