Making an Image for Your Post
Making an image for your post uses Hathor Studio, MELEK's free image studio at hathor.soapbox.community. It is the Image Generation tool in the melek.salon post editor. No account or card is needed. This page is the how-to; Hathor Studio describes everything the studio can do. Part of Posting on MELEK.
How to: make a picture from a description
- In the post editor, open Image Generation in the Creation tools panel, or go to hathor.soapbox.community.
- Under Your prompt, describe the picture: who or what is in it, where, the light, and the style.
- Choose Generate. An image takes about one to three minutes on the free engine. If many people are waiting, the studio says so and offers other engines.
- When it is done, copy the image's address.
- In your post, add it with
. See Formatting Posts with Markdown.
How to: put yourself or a character in the picture
Use Upload a photo next to the prompt. The photo steers the new image, so the same face or character appears in a new scene. Turn a character into anything and Appear with Hathor work the same way.
How to: start from a template
Choose Start from a template and fill in a few fields; the template writes the prompt for you. There are templates for posters, avatars and historical scenes.
Writing a good prompt
- Name the subject first, then the setting, then the style: "a cat on a temple roof at sunset, oil painting".
- Make one thing at a time. For a complex scene, make the character and the objects first, then compose them.
- If a result is close, keep the prompt and change one detail.
Saying how it was made
Say in your post that the picture was generated, for example "Image made with Hathor Studio".
