MELEK Pinboard

MELEK Pinboard is the picture side of MELEK, at melek.salon/pin. It shows photos as a wall of thumbnails, the way Pinterest and Instagram do. It is the Photos (Pinboard) tool in the melek.salon post editor. Part of Posting on MELEK. The Pinboard is in alpha.

What a pin is

A pin is a picture on the wall: one you posted, or one you saved from a MELEK post or anywhere on the web. A saved picture always keeps a link back to where it came from. Every pin page gives you the Markdown to put that picture into a MELEK post.

How to: pin a picture

1. Go to melek.salon/pin, or open Photos (Pinboard) in the post editor's Creation tools panel.
2. Paste the picture's address into the first box.
3. Add a title if you like, and your MELEK name.
4. Choose Pin it.

How to: save every picture from a MELEK post

Paste the address of a MELEK post instead of a picture, and choose Pin it. All of the post's pictures are saved to the wall, each linked to the post.

How to: put a pin in your post

1. Open the pin.
2. Copy the Markdown shown on its page.
3. Paste it into the body of your post. See Images and Video in Posts.

Photo posts go in the Photos category. See Post Categories on MELEK.

How to: save from any web page

Drag the Save to MELEK button from the Pinboard to your browser's bookmarks bar. On any page, click the bookmark to save a picture from it to the Pinboard.
