Novel Writing with Hathor Metatron
Hathor Metatron is the writing desk on Pentecaust, at pentecaust.com/metatron. It is the Novel Writing tool in the melek.salon post editor. It is built for long writing such as the November novel challenge, and it can also make a graphic for a post. Part of Posting on MELEK.
What it has
- Writing desk: a title, the text, a live word count and story points (one point is about 500 words).
- Transparency tag: mark the piece 📝 100% Human, 🤖 AI-Assisted Planning or ⚡ AI-Generated. The tag is copied out with the text.
- Sprint timer: Start a 25-minute sprint to write without stopping.
- Scene board: cards for scenes or chapters that move from Backlog to Writing, Review and Done.
- Make a graphic: type a description and Make it; the picture is made by Hathor Studio.
How to: write a chapter and post it
- In the post editor, open Novel Writing in the Creation tools panel, or go to pentecaust.com/metatron.
- Type a title and write. The word count and story points update as you go.
- Choose the transparency tag that fits how the piece was written.
- Choose Copy with tag.
- Paste it into the body of your post, add a title, choose the Writing category, and post. See Writing a Post on MELEK.
How to: keep a backup
Drafts autosave in your browser only; they are not sent anywhere. Use Export .md or Export .txt to save a copy as a file, especially before clearing your browser or changing devices.
How to: plan with the scene board
- Under Scene board, type a scene and its story points, then Add.
- Move each card along as you work: Backlog, Writing, Review, Done.
