Silvia ailaughatmyownjokes

Silvia — online as @ailaughatmyownjokes — is a German sketch-comedy and roleplay creator who built a very large following on TikTok and YouTube. She appears in Media and Personalities as a YouTuber entry, covered for her actual content in the light, content-first style the section uses for individual creators.

What she makes

Her core format is fandom roleplay sketches: short comedic scenes set inside popular fictional worlds, performed largely by herself. Harry Potter is her most-featured universe, with The Walking Dead, Scream, and The Hunger Games appearing regularly as well. The self-deprecating handle — "I laugh at my own jokes" — sets the tone: the comedy is loose, in-character, and fan-affectionate rather than mean.

Recurring series and collaborations

She frequently collaborates with her roommate @redheadbegins, who makes similar videos, and the two run joint bits — including a recurring series, OnlyCakes. Her reach is substantial (several million followers on TikTok alone), and her videos circulate widely through reaction and compilation uploads by other creators. She is managed by the German influencer agency INSTINCT3.

Why she fits the Library

Fandom roleplay is one of the defining native formats of the short-video era — a form of participatory storytelling where fans inhabit and extend the worlds they love. We note her as a prominent, well-made example of that format, not as a subject for ideological analysis.
