PRANA Pool Payouts

PRANA Pool Payouts explains how PRANA pays miners: the chain itself is the mining pool. Consensus sends almost every block reward into one contract, the pot, and the pot pays everyone by the shares they submitted to the pool, automatically, every few minutes. This is the DevCoin idea — one pool, paid by shares — enforced by every node instead of by trust.

The rule every node enforces

How you get paid

 1. Point any Etchash miner at
stratum+tcp://pool.soapbox.community:3333
, with your own checksummed PRANA
0x…
address as the login. Copy-paste configs for lolMiner, T-Rex and GMiner are in the Mine PRANA guide.
 2. The pool records every share you submit, with its proof of work, in a public share log.
 3. Every 20 blocks (about 4 minutes) a round closes. The round's PRANA is divided among everyone by their shares.
 4. Three independent signers each recompute the round from public data — the shares, each share's proof of work, and the pot's balance on their own node. When 2 of 3 agree, the round's Merkle root is posted to the pot.
 5. The pot then pushes each miner's PRANA straight to their address. There is nothing to claim and no payout threshold.

If nobody mines in a round, its PRANA is not lost: it carries into the next round that has shares.

Mined outside the pool? Lost and Found

Because the pool is hardcoded into consensus, a block mined outside the pool still pays the pot. That reward is held in the pot's Lost and Found under the coinbase address written in the block. The moment that address submits a valid share to the pool, it is released to it. Nobody else can claim it.
