Congress.ink

Congress.ink is a microblogging application in the SoapBox ecosystem — a "Twitter-style" surface for short posts, replies, and follows, powered by the MELEK Graphene blockchain. Your account is your on-chain MELEK identity, so the same avatar, REN name, and reputation you carry everywhere in the ecosystem carry here. It is currently in alpha.

What it is

Congress.ink is built for short-form posting: quick updates, threads, and conversation, in contrast to the long-form blogging that the main MELEK condenser is shaped around. Posts and social actions are ordinary Graphene operations (comment, vote, follow), so what you write lives on the same chain as the rest of your activity rather than in a private silo.

Messaging

Direct messages are not handled inside Congress.ink itself — private messages and DMs run through Pentecaust, the ecosystem's shared messaging and community hub. Because both apps read the one MELEK account, your identity and contacts are the same whether you are posting publicly on Congress.ink or messaging privately through Pentecaust.

Status

Congress.ink is an alpha surface: the microblogging feed is live for testing, and features are still being added. See the ecosystem hub at soapbox.community for the current map of what is up.
