**SoapBox Films** is the film database and audience-review surface of the SoapBox ecosystem, published at stream.soapbox.community/films. It works alongside SoapBox Stream: Stream is where free films play, and Films is where any film can be looked up, located and reviewed.

## What it holds

- A catalogue of notable films of every kind, built from Wikidata, with director, cast, genre, year and runtime.
- **Where to watch**: links to the services a film is listed on (streaming, rental, free-with-ads), plus a general search link. Availability varies by region and changes over time, so these are listings, not guarantees.
- **Audience reviews**: anyone can rate a film from half a star to five and write a review, with no account. Each film gets an audience score: the share of ratings at 3.5 stars or more, with the average and the number of reviews.

## Watch and review, both ways

When SoapBox Stream holds a free, public-domain copy of a film, the film's page offers **Watch free on SoapBox Stream**. From the Stream player, the film's score and a **Rate & review** link sit beside the video. The Stream's horror shelves, including A Map of Horror and the Girl Has to Kill Everyone genre, link every title into Films.

## Scope

Films is a separate system from this Library. Individual films are not Library articles; they live on SoapBox Films.
