SoapBox Data

SoapBox Data is the open-data vertical of the SoapBox ecosystem, a surface for open data and ecosystem statistics. It is reached at data.soapbox.community.

Purpose

The vertical is for open data and statistics drawn from and around the ecosystem. It is meant to make numbers legible and available in one place rather than scattered across surfaces.

Ecosystem statistics

Because MELEK and its surfaces are public, much of what happens on them can be counted and reported. SoapBox Data is where that kind of ecosystem statistic is meant to live, presented openly so anyone can look.

In the ecosystem

SoapBox Data is one of the everyday reference verticals under SoapBox, sharing identity and surfaces with the rest. It complements the other verticals by giving them a common home for the figures behind them.
